Small post

Hi all, haven't been around lately, and though I didn't meant this to be a personal blog, I want to share this with you. Some of you already know my dad had a stroke past year, on July 27th, to be exact. He's been having so many health issues since, that most of my personal projects had been put off, because of this situation. On September he fell, then on December he had a seizure, past Monday and Tuesday of "Carnaval" (Feb. 25th and 26th), he was hospitalized again due to a flebytis on his right leg, from the 25th to the 28th. After that I had bronchial spasms, my doctor told me I was simply exhausted (no wonder since I haven't been able to take a single vacation since 2007, not even a weekend).

To make things worse my computer was acting weird, but I haven't had the time to do the maintenance it needs, the result is that now I bought two antiviruses but apparently the damage is irreversible... That's why I haven't post for so long...

Good news is my sewing machine is here, just need some adjustments, the tech will come "anytime soon", also have a new iron, which is great and makes it easier to work with my projects. For now, managed to save this pictures from the hard drive:

Gingham and plain linen from Susi, also multicolor thread. Thank you, love it all!!!

PIF received from Elaine, I'm working on the two PIF's for the people who signed in. Still have room for more. Isn't it lovely??? Thanks elaine is hanged beside my computer.

DMC thread I order from ebay to make a beautiful project I'll show you soon:

Sachet made for Rolande at EMS "one world many cultures exchange", she told me the chocolate was not inside the envelope! I'll go do the claim at the PO. I think I've sent chocolate to France before but I'm not sure...

Crochet club meeting at school:

Goyo, new addition to my family! I've worked so hard on his selfsteem now he thinks he can climb! lol He's the size of my hand's palm.

Nativity set from Sandy O. Thank you pard! It's Christmas in my house again!!!

Small project I'm working on, Shepherd's Bush Beehive Needleroll:

Miss you all, miss blogging! Hope the computer is fixed soon, really can't afford a new one for now. Don't have the time to go to a cyber, so if it's ready over the weekend, I'll be back on track soon.

Hi Sandra... just sent you a pm on EMS before I read this. I hope you get the rest you need and can get that 'puter happy again.

Also sending good thoughts for your Dad.

The needleroll is working up nicely.

Your little pet reminds me of the old song 'High Hopes'. Here's part of the lyrics:

Just what makes that little old ant
Think he'll move that rubber tree plant?
Anyone knows an ant, can't
Move a rubber tree plant.

But he's got high hopes. He's got high hopes.
He's got high apple pie, in the sky hopes.

So any time you're gettin' low
stead of lettin' go
Just remember that ant.
Oops! There goes another rubber tree plant.
