Weekend solution

Hi!!! I've been busy attending a chocolatier class. We learned to make truffles, "ganache" (or bonbon filling) and luscious bonbons. Well, this was just level one, but we can make delicious bonbons (trust me, I tried every flavor lol).

On a little free time I had over the weekend, while organizing the craft closet, came up with a wonderful idea. I love "Space for Living", the TV show, though it's not airing anymore, but for me one of the best parts was their weekend solutions, when they organized and decorated small spaces around a home. My craft closet is roomy, but having a lot of alike plastic keepers, sometimes I have to go through all of them to find what I'm looking for.  The solution? My brand new Motex embossing labeler!!!

Took me a while to get used to it. I found the best way to charge the tape is removing the letters wheel, actually, came up with the idea that they should be transparent. Any way, I made a few failed attempts, as you can see, the third try was the lucky one.

The lever should be pushed gently but firm. It also has some signs as heart, star...

As it would be said on Space for Living, this is how my space looked before...

Plastic storage was not transparent enough to look at the contents, making it difficult to find the right item for crafting.

A few minutes with the labeler and...

Take a look at this space now!!!

Each container is labeled in a different color to make it easier to find the proper items, even the dremel box is labeled, and of course, my gorgeous Motex deserves a new place to keep it safe from dust and having all the accessories at hand.

Now, this is a great solution!!! You want one? I got mine at OHMYBUY Etsy store, they have excellent service.

Happy crafting!!!

Liebster blog award

Howdy fellow crafters! I've been awarded the Liebster  blog award by Susi, she's a multitalented stitcher, crocheter and knitter. Thank you Susi!!!

Liebster comes from German, and it means beloved or darling. The award is given to blogs, with less than 200 followers, that deserve to be highlighted because of  the quality of its posts. Of course, there are four rules to follow when the prize is accepted:

1.- Post the award on your blog.
2.- Choose five up-and-coming blogs (with less than 200 followers) to award the Liebster to.
3.- List the bloggers you are giving the award to with links to their sites. Leave comments on their blogs so they know about the award.
4.- Share 5 random facts about yourself that people don’t know about you.

There are many wonderful blogs I visit, I'd love to award them all, but rules are rules, so here's my choice list:
1.- Mindnsoul. So many wonderful amigurumis there! Sue also crochets baby clothes and hats. Very talented.
2.- Borduurmeisjer. Babs stitchs wonderfully, I admire her patience for doing such intrincate work. Her blog has some fun homey posts.
3.- Art stepping stones. If you want to see amazing art, visit Elena, love her use of pastel pencils and how colorful and cheery her artwork is.
4.- A day in the life of me. Lighthearted posts, Jules   blogs about everyday stuff in an amusing way.
5.- Jackie's X-Stitching. Jackie blogs about cross stitch and life. Her work is gorgeous!

Five random things about me:
1.- Despite the fact I'm pro-healthy living habits, I love Serrano ham, cured cheese, and other  fancy food as such.
2.- I do have the ADD, not a joke when I say it on my posts. As a matter in fact, today I stood up and walked away from someone who was telling a story, I thought she was finished!
3.- I can easily live without a TV.
4.- I love cowboys! (that's not a secret lol)
5.- My favorite comfort food are french fries and ice cream (not necessarily at the same time).

Notepads

Hi there!!! I've been playing around with paper, stamps and a new set of Stabilo88 markers. It was a present from SD pard Sandy O. I was ecstatic when I got them, those are fantastic, the ink flow is continuous, no bloats, no decrease, the lines thickness is neat.

So I got a few things to make a thank you present for Sandy. Decided to do something practical for everyday use. Being inspired by some paper artwork on some blogs and sites, my choice was a note pad.

Here's what I did. Gather my materials and tools:

Colored and white card boards, printed scrapbook paper and ribbons.

Acid free stick glue, uhu all purpose glue and stamp pad.

Stamps and notepad.

My gorgeous Stabilo point 88 markers set :)

Sakura pigma micron black markers (different points: 005, 03, 05, 08...)

Eyelet punch, eyelets, eyelet setter.

Square flat magnet.

Then I grabbed a cuppa, got inspired and made this little thingie:

Stamped all the pages and colored them with the markers:

Some pages have also sentiments, and the back cover on the inside:

The front is decorated also with the eyelets and the ribbons and a small "Made with a smile" sun metal charm:

Just a little something, it will fly away next week towards its new owner, with a thank you card:

Thanks for visiting my blog!!! Happy crafting!
